Razzleberry Lemonade Thank You cards

I have to tell you that I am really enjoying this color combination even though I'm not a very "pink" person. I love the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP colors of Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo! I added a teal glitter a Stampin' Up! glitter stack to the feathers of the peacock on the larger card because that's the color I think of when I think of peacocks.

Some of you know I'm from Hawaii... well I am tired (or have been gone too long) and cannot remember the place in the North Shore where they have cliff diving and have peacocks roaming the grounds. Now that I think about it, they also have peacocks roaming the grounds of Portland's Washington Park Zoo. Nothing to do with cards right? I have to admit I'm tired so I'll cut this post short!

Just wanted to share these two cards ideas with you! This set is either available to purchase for $14.95 through the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog or can be one of your FREE items during Sale-A-Bration (through 3/31) when you purchase $50 in other SU! products - sweet! This particular set is the 2009-2010 Ronald McDonald House set. For every set sold, SU! donates $2 to the Ronald McDonald House foundation.

Other products used: Melon Mambo dotted Grosgrain ribbon, White tafetta ribbon, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Modern Label punch, Large oval punch and on the 3x3 card, the border punch available as a free Sale-A-Bration item. Inks used: Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. These cards were very quick and easy!

Mini Moon Pie treat

Hello friends! Thought I'd post a quick treat idea. This is one of our stamp camp projects since I can't find the cord that attaches my camera to my computer for anything else! We are putting a mini moon pie in it but I did set a small cello bag next to it with m&ms in it to give you another idea. The small cello bag fits and you can put whatever you want in it. The small cellos bags come in a pack of 50. Be on the look out for small individually wrapped treats that can be wrapped with card stock or DSP! I found these mini moon pies at Walgreens and got the idea from a fellow demonstrator from the West side - thanks Deb!

Anyway, this is soooo simple. I've got it pretty simple here but I think we'll tone on tone stamp the same flowerery heart image just for fun on to the close to cocoa cs! The close to cocoa bottom is just an 8 1/2 x 3 piece scored at 3 3/4 and 4 3/4. The top piece is the new Valentine DSP in the Occasions mini rolled out with our SU! top note die on the Big Shot. The Feb. 14 stamp comes out of the "A Happy Heart" set. Fun, fun, fun!!

If you can't make it to Stamp Camp this time and would like to get an order in time for Valentine crafting or just to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration specials, you can either order by calling or emailing me by Saturday or order directly from my SU! website for the same pricing. If you are ordering less than $69.50 you can save by ordering with the stamp camp order since the minimum shipping online is $6.95. Please let me know if you have any questions!

I {heart) Hearts 3 x 3

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend :)
This was a fun little card to make. I got this straight out of Stampin' Success magazine. I loved the idea but changed it around a tad so as not to totally copy it! The base it Certainly Celery, I used Soft Suede DSP, Baja Breeze 1/2 inch grosgrain and whisper white card stock for the cutouts. I stamped these in Rose Red and Certainly Celery and used the new I {heart} Hearts set. It's not real noticeable in the photo but I did use the heat and stick powder and iridescent ice trick to dazzle the heart. Last but not least, I also paper pierced the top of the card.

By the way, I still have a pack of the In-Color polka dotted grosgrain if anyone is interested. Look back in the posts a couple months and you'll see a photo of the packs. You get 3 yards each of all six colors for $15. Also, is anyone interested in a silk ribbon share? SU! introduced the silk ribbons in the Occasions mini. I haven't figured out the costs yet. Let me know if you're interested. It's a great way to some of each for fun projects without breaking the bank!

Toodles... Kim

Stamp camp sneak peak... Heart Treat cups!

Today is the day I update not only this blog but my Stampin' Up! website. I am so sorry the sidebars are so old! Please click on the SU! website later in the day to see my calendar events in case you are not on my emailing list! Since I haven't gotten my invites out yet, I will tell you that Stamp Camp is Saturday, Jan. 23 from 1 - 4. If I have enough interest (or ladies that cannot make Saturday) I will have a day event either on Monday or Tuesday following so let me know if this interests you. On to the card...

These heart treat cups are available while supplies last and are the cutest thing! I will be making up a 3x3 card which I will post as well...
Card base is Real Red, Chocolate Chip piece has been embossed using the new Sizzix Texured Impressions folder in the Occasions mini called Perfect Polka Dots. The set is "Sweetheart." The set is available in both clear mount or wood stamp set and is not in the IB&C or the Occasions mini but on a flyer with the treat cups. I will post that flyer later this morning. The "Sending Love Specialty" DSP is in the Occasions mini and awesome! It is dazzled with diamonds right out of the package. Very beautiful paper. Besides the stamp heart treat cups all you need is the heart punch. Inks I used were Real red and Old Olive. Thanks for looking!

Zach's card

Got the box of new goodies this afternoon! We went down this evening to stamp out Nick's Christmas thank you notes and Zach's eyes lit up when he saw my new punch! We are ALL loving this new bird punch! He made this all by himself and was quite proud so I had to post :)

In addition to the new bird punch he used the new polka dot embossing folder for the Big Shot. He also used the Modern Label, Word Window and Full Heart punches. The base card stock is Bermuda Bay.

Too tired to do much else... hoping to wake up early and get a head start-got a swap for Thursday that I'm not prepared for! :)

As for Nick's cards (I made, he signed) very simple, will post that another time-or maybe not, the DSP, thank you stamp set and punch are retired. I guess I need to make something up with new stuff! Add it to the list...

Love You Much - round two...

A little old, a little new... I put in an order for some fun, new goodies from the new Occasions mini and the Sale-a-Bration mini but haven't gotten them yet! The set used here, Love you Much, is in our current catalog. LOVE this set but it was hard for me to come up with something new with the two birds so it didn't look like one of my cards from last year! Oh well, I still love it :) It's a keeper.

Some of the elements on this card are difficult to see. You can click on the actual photo to see close up. I borrowed the new jumbo wheel, I {love} love (I think that's what it's called!) to roll in versamark along the bottom. The card stock is Rose Red on a whisper white base. I sponged the edges of the Bashful Blue cardstock the birds are on but it is hard to see. The ribbon is Certainly Celery 5/8 grosgrain. The DSP in the birds (which I stamped and then cut out) is the Saffron from the Tall Tales DSP in the catalog.

Something fun that we'll be doing in our January stamp camp is making our own glittery cardstock! If you look closely at the heart and the two 1/4 in. cardstock dots on the sentiment you'll see what I'm talking about. You take any cardstock and stamp versamark all over it. Then, sprinkle on Heat & Stick powder. Warm it to melt and then sprinkle on Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Reheat to set and then punch away! A fun way to add some *bling* to your projects! It's also easy to do ahead and just have on hand. Thanks for the tip Sharon :)

Enjoy!

Valentine Inspiration!

Hello! I have to admit, I was too busy with odd ball errands and stuff to make something new and fun. So, in an effort to keep up with my posts I decided to post a card that my friend Kerri made for me last season since the set was still current! I have always loved this SU! set, "Always." In this photo it is hard to see that the heart is embossed in chocolate chip and the flowers are colored Ruby Red which gives it a nice rich look. Isn't the heart's design fun??? The base is Sahara Sand, and the other papers are Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink and the chocolate DSP is from a retired pack but would be easy to replicate. The tone on tone design on the Sahara's right corner is from "Baroque Motifs."

That's it for now... it's late and we're off to Mt. Spokane bright and early tomorrow. I hope to have a new post on Sunday :) Have a good weekend!

Simple Thank You

Got my post Christmas Thank You cards done finally! Found an idea browsing blogs using this now retired "Christmas Cocoa" DSP that is "flocked." I loved how beautiful and simple it was at the same time. I used Chocolate Chip cs underneath edged with the scallop punch and the Chocolate Chip Tafetta ribbon. I also used Chocolate Chip to ink the "thank you" which came from the "Thank You Kindly" set which has four different thank you styles. This set is in the current SU! Idea Book and Catalog.

A cool thing Stampin' Up! is doing this time around for Sale-A-Bration is offering some of the $15.95 and under sets from the catalog as a free choice in addition to the usual offerings of SAB only sets. Make sense? In the SAB mini you'll see the sets you can choose free on the back page. For those that don't know, during SAB only, you get to choose a free set with every $50 purchase. Ta, ta for now...

Lu's Card... Sale-A-Bration & New Mini

Well, well, well... Frohes Neues Jahr!
Okay, Happy New Year! No, I'm not in Germany-just have a friend there, a 9th grader taking German and a 2010 German phrase a day calendar :) FUN!

Okay, in an effort to get back on track I am posting a beautiful card made by one of my friends who is a customer! I love it when people are actually busy making and sending cards and love to share their work :) For this card, Lu used the Stampin' Up! set Bloomin' Beautiful. I'll have to get some photos of the other cards she has made with this set - it is one of her favorites! She has added dazzling diamonds to the hydrangeas as well. The photo does not do it justice at all! The base is retired paper (Wasabi) and the rest is certainly celery, pale plum, rich razzleberry and DSP Cottage Wall. She used the Eyelet border punch, gold brads and Rich Razzleberry 1/2" polka dot grosgrain. Thanks Lu! If you have anything that you would like to share on my blog that is features current Stampin' Up! product please send me a note and I'd be happy to share!

I've got some work to do updating my blog along the sidelines (boy, do I) but meanwhile feel free to click on my Stampin' Up! website link for current Stampin' Up! Sales and Product info.
There you'll find the New Occasions Mini catalog that started yesterday along with the Sale-A-Bration catalog that features free stamp sets (and a punch!) that you can choose with any $50 purchase. The demonstrator kit is also on sale!!! In addition to all that I have a few classes in the works. One will be Saturday, January 23 and the other will be an event I am organizing with 3 other demonstrators in my group. The date is set for March 6 and will be in Spokane Valley. We will be using the new "With All My Heart" set which you will receive with the fee. Registration for that starts next Monday, January 11 and will be first come, first served since I am alloted a certain amount of spots.

Check back soon for a thank you card and some Valentine ideas :)

Kim
