Stamp Camp Card

Here is one of the cards I made for a demonstrator swap that we'll also be making it at the Feb. 8 Stamp Camp!  A simple and not too mushy Valentine card...  Gotta love the Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla satin ribbon and the Iridescent Ice on the lovely dandelion!  Card stock colors are Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Cameo Coral and Whisper White.  Stamp sets used: Both Stampin' Up...  A Happy Heart and large background Pretty Petals.

COME JOIN ME FOR FEBRUARY STAMP CAMP!
Sunday, February 8 from 1 - 4pm.  We will make 2 cards, a mini 2009 calendar plus a fun Valentine project!  The fee for Stamp Camp is EITHER $15 with no purchase (envelopes will be included if you pay the fee). OR, you make a minimum purchase of $25 out of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog and the Stamp Camp projects are free!  Either way, please bring your own adhesive and paper snips.

I will have the Sale-A-Bration specials and a few give aways too!  Space is limited so R.S.V.P. by Monday, February 2 to hold your spot!  If there is enough interest - I may add a class on Monday, Feb. 9 from 9:30 - 12:30 to keep the classes small.  Feel free to pass this invite onto anyone you think may be interested.  Kim 998-8649

Fun Treat Pouch

Well, the official name for this one is the "diaper pouch" but I decided that wasn't a great heading!  HA!  Anyway, Jan mentioned this idea to me last week so I decided to make one for everyone to see.  It is very cute (I think) and simple. You can't really tell on this photo but I also used heat and stick to add Iridescent Ice to the message on the front. Gotta add the bling.

The key here is to cut an even square out of double sided designer paper.  For this tiny treat holder I used a 6x6 piece of "Always" Stampin' Up! DSP.  First, you fold it end to opposite end.  Hmm... Karl always says I'm not good at directions so I will post those later tonite.  I'm a bit short on time!  This treat holder is pretty small but I managed to fit 5 hershey kisses in it with a small cello bag.  A pre-purchased small sized candy would be great if you were making more than a few.

Gift bag idea... altered lunch sack!

Hello Stampin' Friends!
I'm headed for bed but thought I'd better post the photo of the gift bag I said I'd post!  I'll get some details on here tomorrow mid-day.  I used these to wrap teacher gifts and for Bunco prizes.  This was very easy!  Out of one sheet of 12 x 12 DSP you can make 4 bags plus have extra for tags or cards.  I got this idea from a gift I got from my friend Sharon... she used a kraft handle sack.  I purchased these colored lunch sacks at Target.  That's it for now!

Better late than never right?

Here is a fun calendar that's we'll make at the Feb. 8 Stamp Camp here at my house.  I meant to get this project to you all in January but hey, I know you'll love it anyway for the next 11 months!  You'll also have a great gift idea for next year...  It is very simple to make!  We'll be using a set from page 89 of the new catalog, "A Flower for All Seasons" and one image from "A Tree for All Seasons" which just retired!  I gave these out as Bunco prizes and used "A Tree for All Seasons" for the entire calendar.  I'll post the easy gift bag I used for the bunco prizes and also for teacher gifts this year.  This winter image is from the retired set that I am already missing.  I'll post the rest of the quarters in a bit.  Nicolas has just made us all chocolate chip pancakes! Yum!!

Stamp Camp • February 8

FYI:  I am clearing a date with Karl for a February Stamp Camp!  It will either be Feb. 7 or Feb. 8 and will feature new products, Sale-A-Bration and some ready made Valentine's since we will not receive the order in time for you to make your own.  If you have grand plans and need any paper, cello bags or the new Valentine Bundle (which is only available through Jan. 31) then let me know and I'll get it ordered for you.  I'm checking now and I believe the new catalog is online!
Go to www.stampinup.com to view the Valentine Bundle and to check out the new Idea Book & Catalog.  February 1st I will have my own Stampin' Up! site that I'll be able to add a link to.

This week I'll work on posting a few new samples to this blog site as well!

It's that exciting time of year! The New Idea Book & Catalog & sale-a-bration are here!

Ta da!  The new sale-a-bration brochure will be available Feb. 1 - March 31st.  I'll get more info on here in a few days but basically, for every $50 you spend you get to choose a free stamp set from the SAB mini.  Boy are they awesome!  New this year that you can choose for free are either 2 rolls of 5/8 grosgrain - one each, So Saffron & Certainly Celery-YUMMY! or a DSP paper pack.
SWEET!

And of course, the new Idea Book & Catalog... You can begin ordering out of this new one on Jan. 18.  This is also the last day to order off of the retirement list.

Get to Bed!

Well, I figured out how to add photos-fun!  Now I need to figure how to organize the site.  Hmmm... I'll save that for another day.  We have plans to go up to Mt. Spokane tomorrow and I'm thinking I'll be sleepy.

I made this for my cousin Shannon's wedding.  I love these tins and love this recipe stamp set from SU! - From the Kitchen Of.  I used Haiki DSP and wide Chocolate Chip ribbon.  The box is from Michael's.  Here is the recipe holder, the box, the card and a recipe bookmark.  What you can't see are the individual cards.  I made 5 for each tab with ribbon and a jumbo eyelet also using the tab punch.  Someday maybe I'll get a photo of the recipe cards on them because I made myself a matching box!
This is a birthday card I made for my friend Lisa who just turned 40.
I was excited because the colors matched a purchased (gasp) bag.  It's not all bad, my other dear friend Kerri punched me out an "L" using her Big Shot and also glittered it for me!  I hung it off the bag.  Anyway, SU! sets and paper used were:  Celebrate Everything, On Your Birthday and Tangerine Tango Patterns DSP.

I also made a sourcream container which containted a mini Vodka.
Got that idea from one of Sharon's downline (at the moment I'm blanking on a name) at the Stampin'Ladies Christmas Party!  Thanks Sharon!  That was so fun!
Here is a close-up of one of the gift cards.
The chocolate chip band simply slides off.
The retired flower image says "sweet of you" and is stamped in SU! In Color Tangerine Tango.
I also used a jumbo eyelet plus used heat and stick powder to add some bling to the flower with Iridescent Ice!  This photo does not do it justice!
I really need to read the manual that came with my camera!

Here is a thank you card for my dear kind and wonderful friend Kelly!  I also gave her girls gift cards from Michael's in the gift card holders that use the same paper and a retired SAB set from last year.  The stamp used for the card is from the Stampin' Up! set All Holidays.  The paper is SU! Hawaii Papaya and will be retiring as of Jan. 18-too bad!  I also used Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip card stock.

Would you believe...

...I'll do it tomorrow?  Guess I haven't gotten too far!  I have gotten quite a bit done in the stampin' room though while the boys and I watched 8 episodes of Get Smart.

Happy New Year!

Can you believe it is the first day of 2009 already?  I am excited for the new year yet wishing it all didn't come so fast.  I started this blog even though I already have an iWeb site because I read on someone else's blog, embellishedsimplicity.blogspot.com, about how she uses it as kind of record of her thoughts and life.  Plus, always fun to share your favorite cards and ideas!  We'll see how often I can get around to updating!  Let's see how to personalize this...

In case you missed these...
