This spring I have a resolution to make sure I have enough of every card on hand for any occasion!  Being a card maker you'd think I was on top of things - not so!  I am working hard to not only keep up this blog but have cards ON HAND so I don't have to make a mess out of my area when I need a card and quick!  I'm building up my stash of cards and also coming up with a class for mid-March for those that need to fill their card stash too :)  I love this rubber duck!  This cards is really back to the basics - a couple of punches and no Big Shot!

OH, Hello again!  This is a great card for mailing.  Although I love all the bling that's associated with a handmade card, they can be a pain to mail!  I've been trying to simply my cards to make them better to mail and quicker to make.  I'm finding that simple is more my style and doable for most people.  I did add a few easy touches such as stamping the sentiment on matching DSP and adding dazzling diamonds with 2 way glue pen to the butterfly.  This card can be changed up in so many ways using different sentiments.  Of course, no card is complete without something popped up with dimensionals (the cherry cobbler scallop).

Have a great week!

I have been wanting to connect these elephants since I got this set!  Craziness you might say since the elephant is a single stamp - not so!  It was made easy by the Stamp-a-ma-jig ($11.95) which is a nifty tool found on page 7 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, item #101046

I am so excited that spring is around the corner and it is time to use bright, cheery, non-Holiday colors again.  This card went together fairly easily, it's always the IDEA that takes so long.  Now, whipping out multiples would be easy!  Yes, I did use 3 stamp sets but one of them is free with a $50 purchase through March 22.  Patterned Occasions, available in wood or clear mount (the set that included the elephant) is one of the Sale-A-Bration choices you get when you spend $50 at my Stampin' Up! website or directly through me.

Lets "Live in the sunshine!"

This fun card is a variation of one I made for a good friend.  I was excited the use the new pinwheel sizzlit I got in January.  This Sizzlit® S die (only 4.95!) makes it ridiculously simple to make this cute little pinwheel.  Take a 2 x 2 scrap piece of DSP and run it through the Big Shot with the pinwheel sizzlit.  Fold in the die cut corners and secure with a brad... done!  I adhered it to the card with a stampin' dimensional.  As far as the sun, I stamped the "Live in the sunshine" in Razzleberry.  Then, I took a scrap piece of paper and punched out a 1 3/8 circle to use as a stencil for a sun.  I placed it over the sentiment and simply sponged over the hole using a piece of stampin' sponge and Daffodil Delight ink.  Super simple!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you all did something special today!  I should have posted these a couple of days earlier for ideas but oh well!  These are still great basic templates for any card, any time!  I am really loving this little elephant from the SAB set, Patterned Occasions.  It has a sentiment below it that says, "thanks a ton" but I sliced it off and now can use either the elephant alone or just the sentiment.

The rick rack here is one of my favorites.  It's an easy way to add that something extra and I often use it instead of ribbon if I am mailing a card to keep it more mail friendly since it lays flat.

Beautiful Butterfly

Oh, how I would love to post regularly but that isn't the way my life goes!  I've decided to not make any claims as to how often I'll post but just post when I can.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE stamping and creating but family time comes first so that's why my posts are so sporadic.  I find time to stamp and try to make as much as I can!  That's why I tend to use the same set or colors in posts that come in clusters!  Right now, I noticed I have used an awful lot of Saraha Sand and because I didn't place Valentine product orders in time - I'm using what I have available and it's working out!  The next two posts will be Valentine ideas.  This post is a variation of the elephant card I posted last.

I love how simple this layout is!  Of course, the elephant is substituted with the Beautiful Butterfly die and the DSP is Twitterpated which is in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. This card is so much prettier in person - I really need Karl to make me a light box!

OH, HELLO!

Happy New Year!

I've got a simple card to share that I made for a swap with my Stamp Ladies group.
This card high lights a few new products from Stampin' Up!  The elephant comes from a Sale-A-Bration set called Patterned Occasions.  Yes, it's Sale-A-Bration (SAB) time now through March 22.  With every $50 purchased you get to choose an item from the SAB brochure free.  The link to both catalogs are there on the left.

The paper I used here is also a SAB choice.  The Oh, Hello sentiment comes from a set called "Oh, Hello and it's a set from the Occasions catalog.  This set also includes a Thanks So Much and a You're Invited sentiment and I've found the set very versatile.  I have a few other cards I just made that I'll post this week.
