3 x 3 Cheep Talk!

Hello There!

In an effort to post things a bit more regularly I thought I'd post a 3x3 that isn't necessarily new but is still inspiring!  I varied this a bit from a sample from my upline.  You know I LOVE this set and I know many of you do as well :)

I used Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and some saffron DSP to punch out the flowers.  The rest of the images are from Cheep Talk!  Quick and easy...

Getting ready for two more football games this weekend...then it's the end to another season of Arena football (YMCA at least) for us.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend-supposed to be in the 70s Sat-Mon... sweet!

What's inside the box???

How cute are these cards??  I'd say pretty simple too except for the cut out details on the card to the right.  LOVE the Bella Rose paper!!  Looks like Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Kiwi Kiss as well-YUMMY!

Thanks for sharing your photos Kelly!

Bella Rose card box

Hello!

I really wanted to share this box that is a "re-do" of what was a stamp camp project almost 2 years ago! Kelly was asked to stamp a gift for an auction.  This is what she came up with using Bella Rose DSP, old olive 5/8 grosgrain, SU! jumbo eyelets and one of our retired alphabets.  I wish I knew how to put two photos on one posting but I don't so the cards inside will show up as the latest post!

Let me know what you think about making this box or one similar for a class!  I have an idea for a simpler box without a lid.  I'm still not sure if and when I'll schedule the May class so I'll keep you posted!  Either way, the special for May is purchase 3 packages of DSP and get one free.  If I don't have a class you can still take advantage of the sale when I put in an order the week after Memorial Day.

Hope your week is going good!   Where or where is the moderate weather I like?  Not too hot or cold... is that too much to ask?

Matchbox birthday!

Hope your day is going well!  I've only got a few minutes but am trying to post at least an idea once a day this month!  I love to inspire whether it's my own creation or one someone else has made.  I do my best to give credit.

This is a little gift I made for one of Nick's friend's birthdays - obviously a close friend that I knew wouldn't mind a homemade gift/card from Nick's mom!  He likes pigs (very punny-retired set) so along with the guy colors:  kraft, not quite navy, kiwi kiss and Maine Blueberry DSP (I'll have to double check that one) - I put in four hershey nuggets and folded money that fit in the little card.  The "HB" on the front is from the retired birthday set from last catalog.

Before I forget, this little matchbox is from the Big Shot die in the Occasions mini.  I wonder if it will make it into the next catalog which debuts July 1... hmmm.

Happy Birthday Lil' Sis!

Hello!  Thought I'd share the card and matchbox I sent my sister for her birthday.  She loves Saint Cupcake in Portland so using the "Always" DSP and Regal Rose cardstock, I made her a couple of cards and matching things.  This is just one of the cards-I'll see if I got a photo of the one I sent her a few weeks ago.

At the Seattle Stampin' Up! Regionals, one of the presenters talking about doing just this.  Looking around you and using the color combos or ideas you see on billboards, packaging, a magazine layout, etc.  I'd already been doing this so I was glad to find out at Regionals that I'm not the only one that found inspiration, saw "cards" or good color combos in everyday things!  Whew!  I am not losing it-Karl rolls his eyes whenever I find a good color combo on a napkin or take out box!  Enjoy the day! -Kim

Is Spring here yet?

Wow!  I guess I'm the best at the blogging thing-I'll tell you the best thing to do would be to add yourself to automatic updates so that you'll get the email when I post something!  I think it's on the right side of the page-you have to click and be a Follower.

Okay, here is a start-let's see if I can keep up with posting fun ideas... Don't know if the first days of may are the best time to start again since we'll probably all be outside enjoying our weather.

This photo does not really do it justice but this is a card that Lu brought to Stamp Camp.  She used the eyelet punch on a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of cardstock all the way around to create the "frame."  Then she used her Stampin' Write markers to color the hydrangeas.  She also used the masking technique to add the text onto the pot.  Sweet!  The bee was also cut out and adhered with a Stampin dimensional.  The set used was "Bloomin' Beautiful."  Looks like the paper is Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant, whisper white and So Saffron DSP along with the Eggplant 1/4 grosgrain.  Nice job Lu!

Kelly has updated one of the card holder boxes we made a few years ago and paired it with Bella Rose DSP for an auction.  I'll post that as soon as she gets me her photo.  It is gorgeous!  Let me know if you'd be interested in a class where we make a card holder like it with cards/envelopes inside!  I may add that in addition to Stamp Camp if there is enought interest...

That's all for now... I hope you all have a great weekend!

P.S. I'll change the side bars to reflect the current specials/offers in a day or two.  Meanwhile if you click on the SU! website link you'll be directed the what is current automatically.
